French Crepes

Although crepes are a no brainer. I chose to share this recipe in order to provide you with an easy full proof crepe recipe. Crepes are so versatile and can be served savory or sweet depending on what you find suitable and available.


Ingredients: (makes for 2 people, you can double or triple the recipe for additional servings)

250 ml milk

125 grams flour

2 eggs

Salt

20 grams butter/vegetable oil for frying

10 grams of vanilla sugar (optional)


Method:


1. If you have a mixer, put all the ingredients in it and simply mix it up until homogeneous.

If you don’t, use a hand whisk or even a wooden spoon and start with the eggs, flour, salt, vanilla sugar and a little bit of milk. Mix thoroughly to get rid of any flour lamps then add the rest of the milk gradually.

2. Put a heavy bottom non stick pan on medium to high heat. Once hot, add a tablespoon of butter to coat all the pan (You can use a brush for even coating) and directly pour in you crepe batter.



3. Cook for about minute on the first side the flip once the edges dry out. Cook on the other side for about 30 sec.


Optional* you can fill it with cheese and eggs once you flip it. Remove from the heat once your stuffing is cooked.



I served here with Nutella and strawberries. The options are endless.
