Easy Chocolate Marble Cake

dhiffallahasma

This is an easy and super moist chocolate cake. If you are looking for a cake to enjoy your morning coffee with, to put in your kids' lunchbox or to serve in a family get together. This cake is perfect. It combines the soft taste of vanilla and the richness of chocolate. Simply YUM!

Ingredients:

100 g butter, softened or I prefer to use Margarine

1 1/4 cups (250 g) sugar

3 eggs, room temperature

1 tsp (5 ml) vanilla or 2 packs of vanilla sugar (16 grams)

1 1/4 cups (165 g) sifted flour

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 tsp baking soda

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 cup natural yogurt (90 grams), room temperature

100 grams bitter-sweet chocolate, melted

Method:

1. Preheat oven to 180C degrees. And Butter cake pan then flour it.

2. Whisk together the flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda and set aside.

3. Cream together butter and sugar until very light and fluffy. About 5-7 mins.

4. Add the eggs to the butter mixture, 1 at a time.

5. Add the flour mixture to the batter in thirds, alternating with a spoonful of the yogurt, just until combined. DO NOT to over mix!

6. Separate half of the batter and put it in a separate bowl. To that stir in the melted chocolate until combined. Spoon in batter with an ice cream scoop alternating plain and chocolate scoops. Run a knife through the batter balls in a circular fashion, creating a marble design. I also added some of the remaining melted chocolate on top.

7. Bake for 45-50 mins. It’s done when a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool completely.

Serve it with coffee or hot chocolate. Enjoy!
